This year’s NBA draft class is one that has a lot of promise. Many teams drafted what they believe will be the player to be the face of their franchise for years to come. Now that the 2017 draft is over, it may be time to look at a player that some say is the next Lebron James.
Michael Porter Jr is a 6’10, 210 pound beast in the making. He averaged 36.2 points per game, 13.6 rebounds per game, 5.0 assists per game, 3.2 steals per game, and 2.7 blocks per game for nationally ranked Nathan Hale High School in Washington in his Senior year.
He is going to play his college basketball at Missouri; where he is expected to be one and done. Porter Jr’s father, Michael Porter Sr is the Assistant Coach for Missouri.
Porter Jr is ranked the #1 NBA prospect for the 2018 draft. Porter Jr stole the show against the nation’s top talent and won the McDonalds All American game MVP.
Like it or not, Michael Porter Jr is this league’s next superstar. His floor is high, and his ceiling is even higher. If your favorite team is set to have a bad season, it would be a great consolation prize to get the #1 pick because Michael Porter Jr will be a great player in this league.
